  • ODIHR training for trainers on Freedom of Religion or belief /Tolerance and non discrimination

  • EFOMW participated in a 3- days training program on 'Freedom of Religion or Belief /Tolerance and Non- Discrimination for civil society actors', lead by OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and organised in cooperation with Center for Education and Research Nahla, 6- 9 April 2018 in Sarajevo.

    Training was attended by 20 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.

    The aim of the training was to provide young people, trainers, and NGO activists from the Balkan region with knowledge and skills to be able to provide training to different target groups on topics related to the freedom of religion and belief, tolerance, non-discrimination and human rights.

    During the 3-days training participants went deeper into the subject through discussions and interactive workshops on topics such as: The right to freedom of religion or belief in international human rights instruments and OSCE commitments;Equality, non-discrimination, and the extent and impact of violations on freedom of religion or belief on men and women; Protective duty of the state - Hate crimes against Muslims;  as well as discussed real case studies including issues in court cases (ECHR, etc.)
