  • The Moroccan representative, who was a guest speaker, said “A Muslim woman must be aware of her faith and her rights wherever she lives.” She noted also that a woman is called to contribute in the building of the society whether in Muslim countries or in Europe”.

     

    Moroccan Parliament member Soumaya ben Khaldoun participated on Sunday (5 March) in the First Congress of the European Forum of Muslim Women, held at the Free University in Brussels. The one-day forum called “Muslim Women’s Contributions to European Societies” focused on the participation of women in social life, obstacles to full citizen participation and Muslim women’s contributions to the building of European civil societies.The Moroccan representative, who was a guest speaker, said “A Muslim woman must be aware of her faith and her rights wherever she lives.” She noted also that a woman is called to contribute in the building of the society whether in Muslim countries or in Europe”.
